For my instance, PythonAnywhere runs on a $200/month Amazon "m3.xlarge" machine, which should be able to handle a lot of traffic. Example, one of PythonAnywhere's users who's processing millions of hits a day is hardly using more than a few percent of its CPU and network bandwidth.
