I tried this:
db.define_table('tablename', ....)
db.tablename._before_insert.append(lambda r : True )
this is supposed to never insert a record.
Infact no record is added, but using, for example, the relative appadmin
form and submitting some values I get the notification "new record
inserted", when it isn't.
This is obviously not the right behaviour.
