It's kind of a lost battle because browsers decided they don't want websites to control autocomplete, which is really annoying sometimes, right now my technique to avoid autocomplete includes hidden fields and stupid values for the autocomplete attribute. Anyway you're not getting the element you want to change, you need to do something like form.element(_name='email').update(...)
