On OS X 10.5, I see the following message on startup:

TkMacOSXDoHLEvent failed : cppe 1                   ,kHighLevelEvent

This thread appears to be relevant, though there doesn't seem to be a  
straightforward resolution:

In particular, this bit:

I know nothing about tk, and have nothing more to contribute, but I
