ok, i tried it without the appends, instead just direct:
response.menu[1][3] = [
(T('Dashboard'), False, URL('main', 'students')),
A('', _class="divider"),
(T('Assessments'), False, None),
(T('History'), False, None),
(T('Join a Class'), False, None)
]
and it still bugs unless the A tag is commented out, then it is fine again.
and i agree with you that its expecting a particular structure, but i've
used the separator inserts in the past and they've worked fine and i
thought the code allowed for the separators in the present form also.
