Two comments about this:

- I would not add an appliance as a branch to web2py (since it is not web2py
core branch / work; this will belong in an appliance repository of it's own,
or at best a repository for appliances).

- As we are going to move away from bazaar to mercurial (following the lead
of Python), you might want to wait a few weeks before deciding to setup
anything new on launchpad (although you are free to do so)
