According to the manual the DAL does not support indexes because it would make migrations complex. However we are recommended to use migrate=False in production. So could the DAL somehow support indexes under this condition?
Such a feature would have saved me some time - I had trouble with database performance over the last few days and solved most of the problems when I added an index to the main table.
