You could try telling your IT department what idiots they are.  I go
through this all the time at work when I need to send out code to
customers who have requested patches or updates.

Our update format is a zip container with a different extension.  But
will that go through their stupid pointless email traps??  Nooooo, of
course not.  It keys in on the binary and still strips it from the
email.

IT departments are stupid, stupid, STUPID for putting these blockades
in place.  All they do is cause people to circumvent them in an unsafe
manner.  In your case, your home PC could be infected with a nasty
virus and they could cause you to spread it at work behind their
firewall, just to get your job done.  I saw a whole production line
brought down for 24 hours in exactly this way.

Stupid.

But I digress.   Now back to your normally scheduled program...
