Silverlight is not cross platform. At least the last time I checked I couldn't use it. I would rather use open standards, something we all have control of. I am sure someone could make tools that could be run inside of web2py that can use silverlight. but if you go and make it a regular practice you throw out alot of other technologies, Linux, Cell Phones, and anything else that has issues with this technology. JS is in web2py but it can be easily removed. I create cell phone applications with web2py. Regards, Jason Brower
