If you like the new layout that ships with 1.67.2 you do not need to edit your 1.66.x application.
You simply need to replace the static/base.css file with the new static/base.css and include the static/header.gif backrgound (or use photoshop to make your own backrgound). There is no need to change the views/layout.html file. It would be nice to make a few variations to base.css in different colors and button styles so that people can pick and choose what they like.
