Sorry no. In my view BSD protects developers (they have to be mentioned in derivative products, product gets used more, more developers can use it) while GPL protects users (developers cannot stop open source development and create a closed source commercial derivative). web2py is about protecting users. Linux is a successful OS because it is GPL.
