any reason you pointed at this and not (for example) pylint? There seem to be 3 different tools of this nature, each of which I expect will have their problems w/ gluon code parsing.... ( briefly tried pyflakes and pylint today; a quick look left me thinking pylint might offer some use, if properly configured).
