I must have done that at some point when I was trying to remove /user/
from the path (maybe routes would be batter for that)  Anyway I put
the code back to:

{{if response.flash:}}
    <div class="flash">{{=response.flash}}</div>
    {{pass}}

but there is no message. I'll peak at this with wingide.
