That is the problem as i cannot afford extra Performance. I will have
to iterate over 3000+ files to rename , which will cost considerable
amount of processing power plus it is Disk IO.

Is there any way to change this behavior ? As i am doing it for
inhouse application, portability is not an issue.

Or have to patch web2py for it ? if then , where?
