Nice , but would it be extra work? -Most JS libs comes with their own minified versions. -And Production setup for web2py is not rocket/or any built-in web server . it is with Apache/Cherokee/Lighttpd, all of them have ability to gzip -You can comproess your own JS script using Yahoo/Google's Compressors.
