As mentioned a few weeks ago, I have been web2py, to teach my daughter
some basic concepts... does that count ? (probably not, but thought
I'd mention it)... been thinking lately about using web2py for
educational purposes, but aimed at the kids the kids (because, I think
they may be smarter than we are - at least than I am ;) )
I.e My twins know all about dictionaries/mappings... and they're 6 yo.
Ever Ask one twin of a pair of twins "which twin are you?" They would
typically answer twin A or twin B... I have been calling mine twin A
& B since birth (they still think its funny ;), but they understand
twins = {A:"Cara Anne", B:"Mia Zoe"} or if I leave a note, I could do
twins[A] and they will understand... ABout a month ago, I wrote
for twin in twins.keys(): twins[twin] bla,bla,bla... and, somehow,
they understood that too... So, personally, that is one of my goals
for using web2py... Kids, could earn more than we (or than I) think...
If I could make things a little more component/UI friendly (like the
use of a component table to draw a layout, and then with time go
through the code a little bit, it would go a long way... Because, and
this had been my experience, what ever I diod with my daughter, there
was some real to see after... (like that fingerboard pdf template app)
Mart :)
