I'm sure you understand how it is, Massimo, volunteers stretched very thin giving their time to something they believe in when they can. Communication can indeed be slow, but I've always found it to be worth the wait ;-)
I've worked with the Software Freedom Conservancy each of the last two Summers to employ a Summer intern developing a free software project aimed at the educational community. Last Summer is was a web2py application, in fact: http://turtleartsite.appspot.com. They provide a wonderful service. And they do it as volunteers. If you are still interested in pursuing them, is there anything I could do to help? Could I help fill out an application or something?
