Subject: Python help
Massimo,
I noticed a recent posting from you on the Chicago Python board and
wanted to share a job opening with you.
We are Zoro Tools -- a young, entreprenurial and very collaborative
environment. It is also important to share that we are a wholly
owned subsidiary of W.W. Grainger -- a $7 Billion distribution
organization. Ultimately, I think Zoro Tools offers the 'best of
both worlds." We make our own day-to-day operational business
decisions to drive the busienss, but have access to the financial
and other resources of a very profitable $7 billion organization.
Yugo Kanazawa is the President of Zoro Tools. You can find his
profile on Linked In.
Our business plan relies heavily on a web presence with both
marketing and transactional functionality. Zoro tools will have no
street-level sales force so our web presence is very important.
That leads to the IT part of our business. Our IT architecture will
be leveraging cloud computing in part for its cost effectiveness and
scalability. However, there is much development work to be done yet
for both front-end and back-end components. We have elected to use
NetSuite and the development will be done primarily with a LAMP
stack -- Linux / Apache / MySQL / Python. I am cuarrently searchin
for two individuals to add to our It staff and would like one of
those to bring CSS experience as well.
We incorporated Zoro Tools this past November and moved into our
facility in Mundelein, Illinois the first week in January -- a
20,000 sq ft facility of which about 18,000 sq ft is warehouse
space. Once fully functional, we will be in industrial tool and
supply distribution. As I sit here today, we have seven people on
payroll and our go-to-market target is May 1. I think you can begin
to see some of the immediate "big picture' challenges. There are
obviously a number of people in a number of functions we need to
bring on staff to make that happen. That being said, our business
plan forecasts gross sales in excess of $4 miillion dollars for 2011.
We are all "wired" differently and some find this whole adventure
compelling while others find it very uncomfortable. My direct
contact follows should you know of anyone who may have an interest.
Respectfully,
Bruce Simmons
