[web2py] Possible to specify which actions auth.signature logs?

I have auth.signature on a table. One column in this table counts page views 
and so is updated frequently. But I'd rather that this not update the 
"modified_on" field managed by auth.signature. Is it possible to suppress an 
action from being signatured?
