The only way I know if is to checkout the repository and roll back to 1.95.1.
Also, Massimo, on the download page: http://web2py.com/examples/default/download It says that web2py requires Python 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, etc. I don't know if this has been fixed yet, but Python 2.4 should probably be removed.
