Anthony, thank you for pointing me to web2pyslices, I just registered there. I knew it before and it helped me out a couple of times. But it is not exactly a wiki or? My point is that I see web2py and the web2py-users gaining more momentum. Groups traffic increases and the rather unorganized information there with some really informative threads if you know what to search for.
I think it would be useful to have a wiki that is organized similar to the web2py book and also tightly linked with it and with the web2py-users group. The idea occurred to me when I saw the recent thread where pbreit posted his excellent fabfile example. This example got me going with fabric and I immediately downloaded it to my computer. However it would be great to a have a wiki with e.g. a deployment section in the same fashion of the book where I could just insert a link to pbreit's post and maybe even my own adapted fabfile. Basically its just about organizing the information a little bit better and make it more accessible to beginners. And since I think writing a good wiki engine is almost as difficult as writing a good web application framework I'd suggest to go with one of the good systems that are already there like moinmoin or wikimedia or a more minimalistic one. I believe it would benefit web2py and I would like to contribute. Presumably a wiki could fill the gap between the group which is quick and pretty unorganized and the book which is great but cannot be up to date always in every aspect of development with web2py.
