Son of a gun! That worked! The main reason for my Linux experiment is to determine how to make web2py coexist with an existing web app (which is not written in Python) on the target Linux server. Currently, Apache2 is fully configured within httpd.conf. It would seem that web2py does not touch httpd.conf at all, so coexistence should be straightforward. What a relief!
I do have one important question, though. The admin apps are blocked, ostensibly for security reasons. How do I run admin for web2py? Don't I need to access admin so that I can upload apps?
