as you see ie6+ie7+ie8 is about 1/3 of the market I use html (including html5) only for websites: widescreen, tablets, or phones here goes jquery & co
I use flex for administration, drag drop and/or other interactive parts we need real time charts, drag drop operations.. well a true RIA this sounds to me like flex and nothing else
