Awe, Ok so on my production servers I use nginx to serve all static so this should work? I am not storing the files in the database, the CEO just wants the ability for members to download these files. I guess there is really no way to test this locally using python web2py to start the application.
I will see if nginx allows the files to be downloaded. PS: Even with an English titled file it still doesn't work.
