Well done, sir! I think this is an excellent way to solve the problem. Model-less is still there for anyone who wants it, but with LazyDAL web2py fixes the performance hit it takes from models while retaining the simplicity, lack of boilerplate code, and fast implementation times that set it apart from other frameworks!
