Hi, Appliances are very important tool for learning web2py ( for me) . *(some of these appliances are close to my heart, they helped me a lot. they are my friends.)*
They are also good for testing backward compatibility. They can be good also in introducing and testing the big new features of 2.0. *( I like to see my friends growing up.)* I suggest having two folders under appliances ( before 2.0 (the current ones) and after 2.0). The after 2.0 one will have the corresponding appliance having the new features of web2py 2.0. (more nice looking and more compact).
