Hi guys, We went live with two-step auth for redcap.stanford.edu this past weekend. Some people are figuring it out on their own while others are getting confused. Two different folks contacted me after seeing the message below:
WebLogin ( What is this? ) An error has occurred. Two-step authentication not configured. The site to which you were trying to go requires two-step authentication, but you do not have two-step authentication configured for your account. You will need to configure it before you can continue. Go to Accounts to configure multifactor for your account. To try again, please return to the preceding web page (or you may need to start your request for this web service again). For help or to report a service problem, contact HelpSU . They got to 'An Error Has Occurred' and just stopped reading. I know this is a user error issue, but as a suggestion it might be worth while to reword the 'An Error Has Occurred' and replace it with something like - "Almost there - one more configuration step is now required:" Technically it isn't an error, but an additional security requirement. -A ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andrew Martin, PhD.
