Hm. And the browser doesn't have any trouble with the URL, but LWP as
used inside WebLogin does? Can you try running:
GET https://webkdc.example.com/webkdc-service/
on the system where the WebLogin script is running? (GET comes with Perl
LWP and uses the exact same libraries.)
