Selama bulan lalu, dalam waktu senggang saya iseng-iseng bikin
Web Directory untuk situs-situs web Indonesia. Bisa dilihat di
http://senayan.betawi.net/
Ada yang bisa kasih komentar ttg directory tsb? :)
Masih ada yang kurang nggak? Isi databasenya belum begitu
banyak. Kalo ada yang mau nambahin, silahkan. :)
Features-features yang saya buat di situ:
Untuk visitors/users:
- Weekly Newsletter, automatically generated every Friday
mornings <-- kemudian dikirim melalui email ke yang
menginginkannya. Sengaja otomatis, supaya saya nggak lupa. :)
- Three New indicators to the listings, to differentiate the
new entries to the listing. <-- seperti yg ada di cgi-resources.com
- Searching facility to the listing as well as to the web. If we
can not find your query that match our database, we
automatically search the web for you (without leaving our
site). <-- kalo yg dicari nggak ada di tempat saya, isi
database altavista.com saya "curi" untuk ditampilkan di
betawi.net
Dengan demikian isi database betawi.net "virtually" sama dengan
databasenya Altavista.
- Searching facility to individual category
<-- seperti yg dimiliki Yahoo!
- Suggest It! feature: to allow you to suggest any
interesting links found in our directory to your friends. You
just fill a form, and we will send the name of the web site,
its URL as well as its description to your friends through
email. You can also use it as a remainder for yourself.
<-- Hampir sama dengan yg ada di searchindonesia.com, tapi
yg punya saya lebih lengkap, karena bisa mengirimkan
descriptionnya juga.
- Crawl It! feature: which gives you a chance to see links
that interest you. We will crawl the web site and give its
short summary as well as any links that goes out from it.
This is a quick way for you to know how big is the site
without having to visit it.
- Rate It! feature: Interested to give rates to the web sites
listed here? Then you can use this feature. By clicking the
link (found just in the last line in every entry), we will
display a small window at the bottom screen, so that you
can give the rate while surfing the web site.

lagi, supaya lebih compact. :) Lebih aman dibandingin
yg ada di pandawa.com shg nggak bisa dispam. :)
- Review feature: We review any interesting and useful web
sites for you. We also give marks for any Cool sites.

- Every week (Sunday Mornings) we will verify all the links
listed in the directory, to make sure that all URLs work.
Eventually any dead links will be deleted.
- If you are frequent users, use our This Week Newest Links
to browse this week new entries.

For Webmasters/Submitters :
- More security to the listing, by providing unique identifier
(only known by the submitter) so that only the submitters
can modify their entries in the listing.
<-- supaya nggak banyak kejadian orang yg bukan pemiliknya
mengubah listing yg ada.
- We accommodate links to web sites that exists only for
certain time (such as web sites for conferences, seminars
etc.) Just tell us how many days that you want to be
displayed. After that day, the link will be deleted
automatically.
- For every web sites that listed here and place a link to us
will get a credit. How? You will be given a special HTML code
to be placed on your site. Every time your visitors click the
link to go to our site, your site in the directory get one
credit (hit). The more hit you get, the more popular your
site is.
Yang sedang saya kembangkan (namun masih ada bugs..)
- Multi Category (supaya sebuah web site bisa muncul di berbagai
kategori, tanpa harus melakukan submit lagi, sehingga jumlah
linksnya yg ada di halaman depan/root tidak salah.)
- Review thd link yg ada di sana (yg dilakukan oleh para visitors).
Seperti pada ulasan buku yg ada di amazon.com
- Ada beberapa yg lain lagi, tapi belum bisa saya sebutkan. :)
