netter, saya lagi ingin belajar programming CGI nih, dan saya tertarik
dengan ASP,
sesuai 'procedure' saya install dulu Personal Web server 4.0 pada Windows 98
2nd edition saya kemudian setelah instalasi selesai saya lakukan hal di
bawah ini [sesuai 'perintah' dari settingnya]:

To use PWS on a computer that is not connected to a network, you must use
the following procedure:
1.Rename the file Hosts.sam, located in the \Windows directory to Hosts (no
extension).
Open Hosts file in a text editor. Add an entry that maps 127.0.0.1 to your
machine name, then save your changes.
2. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Network icon.
On the Configuration property sheet, under The following network
components are installed select TCP/IP Dial Up Adapter, then click
Properties.
4. On the IP Address property sheet, select Specify an IP address.
5. In the IP Address box, enter 1.2.3.4.
6. In the Subnet Mask box, enter 255.0.0.0.
7. Click OK.
8. You may need to insert your Microsoft Windows 95 CD , and then restart
you computer for changes to take effect.

setelah hal di atas saya lakukan, saya mencoba connect [dial up] ke web
seperti biasa, ee..e..
OE saya plus IE tidak bisa connect ke web karena kesalahan setting server
[reportnya OE sih..]
pertanyaan saya bagaimana setting pada OE/IE [saya pakai ver. 5.1] setelah
penginstallan PWS 4.0? ini aja PWS nya saya uninstall supaya bisa connect.
