Hi Todd,

Thanks for the feedback.
I understand then that the video works nicely?

As for the sound. macam doesn't do sound, the application does not record it,
and the QuickTime component doesn't worry about it. It should be handled by
the built-in default drivers. You may have to go to the "sound" view in the
"System Preferences", then choose the "Inputs" pane and you should be able
select your camera's microphone.

Sound should be recorded, if you choose to, with other applications such as
QuickTime Pro, BTV, HackTV, WhackedTV etc. etc.

Good luck,

Hi,
first off thanks for the great work..
I saw the note saying that it was expected to work with communicate so went out and got a webcam

Name: QuickCam Communicate
Model: QC COMM 961362-0403
Vendor: Logotech
Product ID : the only thing that shows up in the USB pane of the profiler is 'camera'
Macam version: 0.8.5
Mac OSX version:  10.2.8  , 256M,  1GHz,  PowerPC G4   iMac

So it looks like the image feed is working perfectly I am able to use it indepently, take stills, make movies and also use it in yahoo messenger as a webcam.

Unfortunately there is no audio for the built in microphone either in the standalone or in yahoo messenger with voice, also the movies are recorded without audio.

I saw that there was a reference to the usb audio drivers being handled or _not_ by apple, is this the problem if so is their an audio solution ?
Are there any additional tests you want me to run to help troubleshoot this particular camera ?

TIA

ps. I will also try with the same camera on linux so hopefully that will turn up more info re the chip and product ID.

Yahoo! Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates.
