Hello, I'm trying to use macam 0.8.6 (and now 0.8.7) with a Mustek gSmart mini2 and mac osx 10.4.6 on a PowerBookG4
At the first attempt macam opened and closed immediately (the camera was connected) I turned the camera off and started macam, then camera on: everything worked fine! I played with it for ten minutes without problems. Then I decided to put the quicktime macam.component in place, in order to use wacaw (command line) but from that moment it never worked again. I removed everything (the component, preferences too) rebooted many times: It does recognise the gsmart mini2, but I only get USB COMMUNICATION PROBLEM when I press PLAY. Why it worked before installing the .component? Why it doesn't work even after removing the component and rebooting? All of them, macam, QT and wacaw show the same error. I tried the other USB port, nothing. The ports work with other hardware.
