Hi!
I'm happy to report success with the cheap-as-dirt Labtec Webcam Pro
model. VGA resolution, 15 fps, basic picture controls work, image is
decent. Macam 0.8.7 on OSX 10.4.7, in a G4 powermac. System Profiler
shows:
USB Device:
Version: 1.00
Bus Power (mA): 500
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Product ID: 0x08a2
Vendor ID: 0x046d
Only problem I've noticed is that the built-in microphone is not
recognized by Apple's USB audio driver. It is seen as "Unknown USB
audio device" in the inputs section of System Prefs (so it is at
least seen as some sort of USB audio input device). Any tips
regarding getting this working are welcome, it would remove one extra
gadget from my desk.
