System profiler as : Product ID: 2265 ($8d9) Vendor ID: 1133 maccam works and capture well, The capture settings : the 4 settings from top works. ! But the it overexpose, out of the windows shoots turn just white ! ! The macam.component for quicktime dosen´t work at all : no video from source ! I tried the "macam-cvs-build-2006-07-26" as well, same result. By the way sound capture works fine. I will try the camera with a linux box one of this days. ************************************************************************ *********** Another story , a success story : In spring I had a webcam setup for an exhibition, I was an older Logitech Quickcam connected to an old imac that was simultaneously acting as a web server and internet kiosk. Initially we installed the official Logitech driver, but repeatedly after 36 hours the poor imac was crashing, after a few day of rebooting, we removed the Logitech driver and installed the maccam driver, and the hole setup was running perfectly for 6 weeks, and the webcam was uploading images non stop.
