Dear Sirs,
The driver used seems to be "Generic ZC0301P Webcam" and the camera
identifies itself under Mac OS X as manufactured by "Z-Star Corp."
with product ID "0x301b"

Subject: Thanks for MacAM driver - possibly new camera for the list
Hi there,
I noiced that the MacAM project i still alive and well, and I
decided to try it out with my trusty PBG4 and my parents-in-law's
MSN Messenger webcam (seemlingly an official Microsoft product),
which we gave them in Christmas present two years ago. And behold -
it works!!!
The camera is a VIMICRO USB PC Camera 301x series, and it seems to
run perfectly.
As for more info about this camera, it is almost impossible to find
anything online. The "box" it came in was only branded MSN
Messenger, and on the web no official drivers for Windows nor
anything else is available. However, there are a few uploads of PC
drivers available, as well as a link to http://www.huanyutech.com/
en/ as the original manufacturer.
ANyways, thanks for the driver. We'll now call my parents with
video and wish them a merry Christmas (they're in Denmark, we're in
Finland).
Kind regards
Sune Lilbæk
