Hello! Thank you for the macam program. I appreciate it. So good of you to put it on the OSX freeware list for Macintosh computers. I am using a vidster (by Mattel) camera. Purchased at Radio Shack.
It's a nice, simple, rugged lo-res camera for video and photo. However, the unit is freezing in connection with the PowerBook G4 I have. Before, it would create AVI files that I could transfer to iMovie, and now it only will capture photos. Now it will not transfer photos to the desktop! Is this some OSX planned obsolescence? lol seriously, I am excited about using it for iChat. And now the USB unit won't even be recognized by 10.4.9. It never needed a driver before. But my USB keyboard by Roland for music won't run without a driver in GarageBand. Any suggestions? You ask if i have a camera, and if it works or not. Well, I would appreciate any info you have about the vidster. There's no support for it online that i can find at all. Please help!
