To add some more information: In the past, I always had to run "d2u auto-version.sh" to get the build to work. If you don't do this the script won't run at all.
With the recent problem, the script does run (after running the above d2u command), but seems to introduce some bad line ending in the resultant autoversion.h file as indicated in the error below.
