No.

My proposed experiment would definitely cause our behavior to diverge from theirs.

I think it's worth a try anyway. That way we'll find out if it causes problems on real sites, or not. We should let nightly users know that they should be on the lookout for such issues.

When I flip the switch I plan to blog about it and announce in #webkit and hopefully alert people to give the type of feedback we need.
