Hi, I was thinking for some time whether I should reply, as there was no question in the mail, only an opinion. I still cannot say anything else that I respect this opinion. I am sure the intent is to make WebKit better, the same thing most of us want here. Dirk explained the technical part (btw we also have optimizations for Skia). This is the purpose of the /platform directory.
