Hi folks, At the WebKit Contributors Meeting, I proposed May 1, 2027 as the cut-over date at which all in-tree ports build with Swift enabled, so contributors can land Swift patches in cross-platform code.
(The first salient example is WebBackForwardList, which is currently gated by a platform #ifdef.) Practically speaking, this means bringing up a swiftc + clang toolchain. I wanted to reach out to this list and share the same message, for folks who weren’t able to attend the Contributors Meeting in person. Please let me know if you have any questions.
