Hello,
I'm Frederico Caldeira Knabben, the main developer of the FCKeditor
online
editor (http://www.fckeditor.net).
I've been contacted by a number of Safari users and companies that
are very
interested in the compatibility of FCKeditor with Safari. Today it is
compatible with IE and Firefox (Gecko). I've already been contact
by Opera
developers and they are very interested on making it compatible
with it too.
We're very interested in seeing FCKeditor work with Safari and would
be glad to work with you to make that happen. We know our content-
editable support needs attention and this effort should help uncover
a lot of the bugs.
For example, for now the problem I've just mentioned is well
described in
the following bug report:
http://bugzilla.opendarwin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4403
I mentioned a very simple workaround in the bug: if you insert the
script into the document before setting the src and onload
attributes, then everything totally works (I tested). We'd still like
to match other browsers on this, but the workaround should let you
get further and see the next batch of problems.
Regards,
Maciej
