Many colors and images are completely missing in MacIE, but maybe we don't care.

An easy and useful way to determine whether or not color schemes offer enough contrast is to change one's monitor to display in grayscale rather than color; also, useful for seeing whether or not the color blind will be able to see one's visual ques which are color based.

Which is why the green page falls short the links viewed in gray scale are nearly indistinguishable from normal text, but at least they don't blend into the page background.
