I thought accelerated compositing and WebGL were entirely orthogonal issues? Here is our tracker bug for accelerated compositing: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115803 Martin says all the patches have bitrotted. Half of them have unfortunately landed but not the other half; this is why we have a very confusing, unused Wayland protocol under platform/graphics/Wayland.
