You can try pass '-DENABLE_UNIFIED_BUILDS=OFF' to CMake, that why it will compile each c++ file individually. However, you may run into build errors due to missing headers because this build is not much tested as the other. You can also try to lower the number of parallel build process, so they don't need to compete for the scarce RAM. In any case, I'm not sure that you would be able to build with only 4GB.
