Hi,
The webkitgtk-6.0 API (for GTK 4, not GTK 3) will be doing several
soname bumps over the next month or so in preparation for stabilizing
the GTK 4 API. The first has occurred already in 2.39.5 and there will
be more in the upcoming unstable releases. Packages, please take note
and prepare rebuilds of dependent packages as required. Known affected
packages are currently epiphany, evolution-data-server, gnome-builder,
and gnome-initial-setup. (And note that gnome-initial-setup itself
transitively depends on evolution-data-server, so order will matter.)
Sometime soon, hopefully in February but maybe early March, the API/ABI
will become stable, as it already is for GTK 3, and the pain will be
over. Hopefully.
