Sravan, thanks for your advice. :-) I feel confused now.... In fact I successfully built webkit with the option "--debug -wincairo", and I could run the exe and set breakpoints normally. But when I tried to use "run-webkit-tests" to run test cases, it failed. I checked the logs, and found that the "ImageDiff" project had a compiling error which would only happen when the "release" configuration was chosen. It is totally different between "release" and "debug wincairo" configurations. (I left the error logs in my company so I can't exactly discribe the error right here.) Could you share me your experience about testing? It is said in the webkit.org that the testting should run in Leopard, but I see there is a "win" folder under "DumpRenderTree", so I think windows is also ok. Am I right? BTW: I am brand new to webkit, so I don't know who is ERIC. Is he available in webkit-help mailing list? Thanks very much~ Cosmos

I am not so sure if layout tests need information about whether its cairo or skia, but looks like the script is not taking them in to account. may be ERIC can answer this. My gut feel is, script needs "cairo" knowledge only for build and i think that is enough for layout tests to get the respective platform results. -Sravan. 2011/8/11 cosmos.qiu<[email protected]> Hi, everyone. I got the documents I wanted in me previous post. And I found if I use the command "new-run-webkit-tests", I could specify the platform I used, as follows: NRWT supports a lot of flags. Here are some of the most popular: --platformthe platform to run (e.g., "chromium-mac", "win-wk2", etc. --debuguse the Debug configuration --releaseuse the Release configuration -n--dry-rundry-run ... do everything but actually run the tests -p--pixel-testsrun with pixel-tests enabled --no-new-test-resultsdon't create any new test results for new tests (NRWT will create them by default --no-show-resultsdon't display the summary HTML file in a web browser at the end of the run I am now using the editon of win-Cairo, but I don't know how to specify the corresponding parameter. Does anyone know the correct parameter or give me some suggestions about it? Thank you very much. 2011-08-11 cosmos.qiu 发件人: Ryosuke Niwa 发送时间: 2011-08-11 15:25:00 收件人: 邱丹 抄送: webkit-help 主题: Re: [webkit-help] [webkit help] Layout tests documents issue FYI, I sent her the html file. - Ryosuke On Thu, Aug 11, 2011 at 12:06 AM, 邱丹<[email protected]> wrote: Hi,everyone. I have been trying to run webkit layout tests these days and want to learn more about the test. But I can't visit Webkit's wiki because of My County's firewall. I'll really appreciate it if anyone can send me the documents inhttp://trac.webkit.org/wiki/NewRunWebKitTests . Saved Html Pages will be OK.
