Thanks for the explanation Dean, I'm glad to hear support is well underway! I apologize for asking the wrong group about support for MPEG-DASH, I've always been a bit confused about the exact relationship between the WebKit group and Apple, particularly with regards to how and what new features end up in Safari.

Apple doesn’t comment on future plans. Also, since this is the Open Source WebKit project list, the question isn’t really appropriate. If you want to ask Apple to support MPEG-DASH, the best thing to do is to file a bug at bugreporter.apple.com. Dean
