OK,
The blog tutorial uses its own pub and had an out of date prototype.js version.
This reminds me of the old windows days, where each lib had (or still have) no
version in its name. So each installer overwrites the libs with his (older) 
versions.

As prototype is unter very active development, perhaps the script directory (or 
the
js-scripts schould be given a version attachment.
