(replying to myself, sheesh) I just noticed that things are slightly more complicated than I expected, as build-dependency and friends work on the dependency objects, not on the arguments provided in the defwebapp slots. Basically, we need to apply the path-construction logic to the exception list too. On the way I noticed there is no support for gzip-exceptions (besided excluding all scripts/all stylesheets), and the same for versioning. It seems that one common heap of bit-rot needs cleaning out, and then things will work. I'll try.
