I am going to assume that it's because the class employee is not defined. Can you (using C-c C-c) ensure that the defclass is evaluated before running the create-view-from-class forms?
I will have to install weblocks-dev before I can be of any help. Please also let us know where you installed weblocks from, and how you obtained the dependencies (clbuild?). Generally for asdf, there is a directory called systems which has symbolic links to asd files. The asd files actually reside in the source directory of the package (eg clbuild/source/closer-mop).
